Thursday, November 7th

3:00 p.m. - Check-in/registration at Country Inn & Suites for guests requiring lodging 

 

6 p.m. - Registration for guests not requiring lodging at Bigwood Event Center

​

6 - 7:30 p.m. - Dinner & Program for registered guests at Bigwood Event Center

​

7:30 - 10 p.m. -  "Welcome to Camp" Celebration  at Z103 Bar & Grill

​

                             Come join in the fun and celebrate the tradition and camp                     

                             camaraderie with fellow hunters.  This event is free and open to the   

                             public.

​

Media Broadcasting

Take part in promoting Minnesota's deer hunting tradition by attending as media! You will celebrate this great Minnesota tradition by participating in hunting minded activities, learning hunting traditions and sharing camp camaraderie with fellow hunters all in a celebration of deer hunting opener weekend!  

 

This year's events will take place at the Bigwood Event Center in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Hunt Opportunities

4:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Breakfast for registered hotel guests at Country Inn & Suites

 

5:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Radio broadcasting at Big Wood Event Center

​

10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Big Buck Brunch & Program 

                     Enjoy a delicious brunch while hearing from speakers who have 

                     traditionally included Governor Walz, Department of Natural Resources
                     Commissioner, Explore Minnesota Director, Minnesota Deer Hunters

                     Association Executive Director and others.



11:30 a.m. - Event concludes for those departing.  For those staying this is free                               time to check out the Fergus Falls community or head out to your                                  host camp to do some scouting!

 

6:00 p.m. - Dinner vouchers provided to registered attendees

 

 

Friday, November 2nd

Sunrise - Opening morning hunt!

11:00 a.m. - Lunch & Tales of the Hunt with Gov. Walz

                      Join Gov. Walz at Mable Murphy's for lunch and to hear about his morning                        hunt!
